JACKSON TWP. The Jackson Township Farmer’s Market opened its 2017 season June 8 at North Park. Opening day saw a steady stream of shoppers stopping by to see what’s new.
Mike Danner, park maintenance and program supervisor with Jackson Township Public Works Department, said there are 14 vendors signed up to open the season.
"We have a few new vendors and many returning favorites this year," Danner said. "A couple of new vendors include Know Your Roots and Sweets and Treats by Elise. Wolf Farms and Jessica Graciani are two of the returning produce sellers and Marvin’s Gardens who sells fresh cut flowers will be back too," he said.
The Aultman WOW van is scheduled to stop by once a month and Aunt Susie’s Cancer Wellness will be there once a month. Girl Scout Troop 60083 (Lake Cable Elementary School) will be selling lemonade to raise money for programming.
Danner said there are still spots open for vendors. Anyone interested in setting up can call Mary Reno at Jackson Township Hall at 330-832-2845.
The Jackson Township Farmer’s Market is open every Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. through Oct. 5. It’s located in Jackson Township’s North Park off of Fulton Road.
