In light of the Memorial Day tragedy that took the lives of two beautiful girls and forever changed the lives of two boys, the Coventry Middle School family received an outpouring of support from neighboring school districts, community organizations and the Portage Lakes community. With the guidance of caring adults, our students were provided the resources necessary to help them cope with this terrible event. They also learned the value of "community."

On behalf of the staff and students at Coventry Middle School we would like to thank the following:

Schools: Green Local Schools, Norton Middle School, Springfield High School, Wadsworth City Schools; Counseling Agencies: Northeast Family Care Counseling Center, Greenleaf Family Center; Community Members: Christy Martinez, Christopher Milo, Coventry Township Trustee Ed Diebold; Coventry Fire; Green Fire; Summit County Sheriff’s Department; Churches: Community Christian, Riverside Alliance, Cornerstone, Hope Lutheran, Lockwood, Lakeview Christian; Therapy Dogs and Handlers: Casi and Don Sendelbach, Sophie and Lori Morgan, Cassius and Tim Bryan; Lowe’s (Green) and Julie Mungo

Moving forward, the families of Amber, Taylor, Jordan and Alex will continue to need the love and support of our community. Thank you for your support of the staff and students of Coventry Middle School. We are #coventrystrong!

Sincerely,
