KEY ACTION Approved an agreement with Motter & Meadows Architects to pay them no more than $29,600 to serve as architects for the $440,000 second floor remodeling of the Stark County auditor's office.


• Approved accepting a donation of equipment from Environmental Design Group to the Stark County Sanitary Engineer's.

• Approved the dismissal of a Stark County Sanitary Engineer's laborer.

• Authorized putting 143 chairs, seven two-seat love seats and a 3-seat sofa owned by the Stark County Department of Job and Family Services up for online auction.

• Appointed Chris Nichols', the county's director of management and budget, to be the acting County Administrator, if County Administrator Brant Luther or Janet Weir Creighton, the president of the Board of Commissioners was out of the office.

• Authorized the purchase of property and temporary easement for $94,035 as part of obtaining right of way for the Whipple Avenue/Everhard Road NW project, which will begin construction next year.

• Renewed the agreement for the Stark County Regional Planning Commission to continue to keep track of street numbers for homes in unincorporated areas of the county.


The commissioners will meet 10 a.m. Tuesday at the County Office Building in Canton to hear the monthly financial update and update from the Investment Advisory Board. They will also meet 1:30 p.m. Wednesday for its regular meeting.
