Sts. Phillips & James School eighth-grader Elaina Casteel was presented with a plaque, as well as camping and canoeing prizes valued at more than $120, as she was named the Canal Fulton Canoe Livery & Campground 6th Annual "Design Our Front Showroom Window" contest winner.
Casteel, three friends and her art teacher, painted the winning picture on the business’ showroom window April 25th, and then enjoyed a pizza party.
One student in each grade from 4th-8th submitted artwork for the contest and also received a $39, six-mile canoe trip. In addition, Sts. Phillips & James got a traveling winner’s plaque to display for one year.
For the past six years, Canal Fulton Canoe Livery 7 Campground has partnered with area schools in the showroom window painting contest.
