The Jackson Local Schools Foundation fundraiser Apples for Education is back for year two.

The Foundation, in partnership with the Jackson Suburbanite and Canton Repository, created this avenue for parents, students, colleagues and community members to honor Jackson staff members with small donations that may be given - as holiday gifts, thank you notes, end-of-year gifts - at any time year-round for any reason.

If there is an administrator, teacher, counselor, custodian or anybody associated with Jackson Local Schools who deserves recognition, Apples 4 Education is direct way to deliver your message of thanks. Each hand-written note will be delivered to the recipient with a piece of chocolate.

The Jackson Local Schools Foundation has two objectives: enhance the experience of current students in ways the traditional budget cannot and development an endowment for future generations of Jackson students.

Most of the funds for Apples 4 Education will go right back to the classroom as grants. A small portion of each gift will be placed in the Foundation's endowment fund, which is managed by the Stark Community Foundation. The Foundation will give about $16,000 back to the classroom during the 2017-18 school year through it's fundraising efforts.
