NORTH CANTON 720 Market, the area’s beloved open-air, local affair kicks off the 2017 season May 13 with new and returning one-of-a-kind local makers and bakers, brewers and growers at Fieldcrest Estate.
“2016, our launch year, was such success we wanted to come back with even more to say thanks for the community support,” said creators Dave and Lynn Shimko in a news release. “Once again, space sold out.
Vendors sold out. We just want to keep the momentum going and growing.”
The site is just one of the many new experiences awaiting. The sounds are also jazzed up, thanks to continued support from a Downtown Music Initiative grant from Arts in Stark and Visit Canton. Music headliner Ryan Humbert, EN-RICH-MENT Drumline Academy and Cleveland Jazz Duo Hip-to-That will keep the party hopping. 720 Market is also premiering a spirited day-drink menu featuring Watershed Distillery from Columbus, drink mixes locally crafted and Market Garden Brewery from Ohio City available. Parking options are available on the farm or at a nearby church with complimentary shuttle services via the 720 Loop provided by Fieldcrest Trolly and Koala Kruisers. Park at First Friends Market Street entrance and follow the signs.
There are also family fun events such as Make-n-Takes and Paint Your Own Canvas classes.
Lifetime North Cantonians and creative folks by nature, the Shimkos professionally position themselves as makers-by-day as well. For more information on this event or any other topics, visit www.720market.com.
