CANTON  A woman who was denied entry onto a school bus while two students on it were fighting smashed the glass on the bus door, Stark County Jail records said.

The 35-year-old woman, who lives in the 1100 block of 13th Street SE, was arrested at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Canton Police Department on a felony charge.

Jail records said that during an investigation of two students fighting on the bus, the woman tried to get onto the bus but was refused entry by the driver.

"When she was refused by the bus driver, she struck the bus exit/entrance door several times, breaking the glass," the jail records said.

She was booked into the jail on a felony vandalism charge and released several hours later on her own recognizance, pending a Canton Municipal Court hearing.
