Doing the right thing

John Quinones will wrap up Kent State at Stark's Featured Speakers Series with "Words of Wisdom About Doing the Right Thing," at 7:30 p.m. April 20. Quiones He has emerged as one of the most inspiring keynotes in the speaking world today. He focuses on his odds-defying journey, celebrating life-changing power of education, standing as a champion for the Latino American Dream and providing thought-provoking insights into human nature. 'Alway ... Patsy Cline'

Have dinner and check out the show "Always…Patsy Cline" at The Amish Door Banquet Center at 6:30 p.m. April 21 at the Amish Door restaurant, 1210 Winesburg St., Wilmot. Celebrate Earth Day

An Earth Day celebration at Kent State University at Stark will be from 1 to 4 p.m. April 23  This free and family friendly event has become an annual tradition. Enjoy an afternoon filled with environmental educational activities, nature walks, games, crafts, mock fossil digs, entertainment and much more. It all happens in the parking lot in the rear of the Campus Center.
