White snow blanketed the ground as far as the eye could see and large flakes continued to fall from the sky. Even with the expected snowstorm for the Portage Lakes area and much of Northeastern Ohio, more than 600 people registered online to participate in the annual Polar Bear Jump this year.

Many boys and girls basketball games and one wrestling tournament scheduled for today (Saturday) have been postponed to Sunday and throughout the coming week. At least one Sunday game has been postponed.
