The Akron Zoo’s next Come Alive with Jazz concert of 2009 will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 5. The band Flohism will perform from 6 p.m. -9 p.m. on the outdoor dining plaza of Komodo Kingdom.

Admission for the jazz concerts is $9 for Akron Zoo member adults, $5 for Akron Zoo member children, $11 for non-member adults and $7 for non-member children. Pre-sale tickets are available at the zoo’s Box Office or online at www.akronzoo.org. Visitors will be able to purchase food and drinks at Komodo Kingdom Café. The concerts are held undercover and are performed rain or shine.

The final jazz concert of the year at the zoo will take place on September 2, 2009 with a performance by the band intransit.

The Akron Zoo is home to over 700 animals from around the world and is open 361 days a year. Hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and admission is $10 for adults, $7.50 for senior citizens, $6 for children (ages 2-14). Children under two are free and parking is $2.00.
