Join Y-Maidens on Saturday, Feb. 19 as the Voris Community Learning Center is magically transformed into an enchanted castle for the annual Heart to Heart Valentine’s Fundraiser Ball with a special visit from Prince Charming and Cinderella.
Y-Guides is a program within the Akron Area YMCA that is comprised of Y-Princesses, Y-Maidens and Trail Blazers Tribes, ages 5–15, that offers parents and children the opportunity to build meaningful relationships that instill core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith.
The Heart to Heart Valentine’s Fundraiser Ball is open to the public and costs $10 a person. Ages 3 and under are free. Beginning at 6:00 p.m. and lasting until 9:00 p.m., traveling minstrels, court jesters, clowns and a DJ will entertain the children while they partake in a balloon drop, magic show, caricatures, face painting, dancing along with a magical laser light show and photos with Prince Charming and Cinderella.
Children are encouraged to dress up as princes and princesses for this fairytale experience; numerous prizes and a 50/50 raffle will be available for adults. All proceeds benefit Y-Maidens and the Partners With Youth Annual Giving Campaign.
