Church

  • Enjoy a cabbage roll dinner Oct. 17, 4:30 - 7 p.m. at Firestone Park Presbyterian Church, 275 S. Firestone Blvd. The cost is $8.50 per adult and $6.50 for children’s dinners. Call 330-724-2740 for tickets.
  • The Manchester United Methodist Church is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner on Friday, Oct. 23 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 5625 Manchester Rd. Tickets are $8/adults, $4/age 4-12, and no charge for children under 4.
  • The public is welcome. All proceeds go to United Methodist Missions.
  • Zion United Church of Christ, located at 415 South Main St. in North Canton, will host a public Swiss steak dinner on Oct. 24, in the church social hall, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Carryout dinners are also available.   • Manchester United Methodist Church invites seniors from the Manchester-New Franklin area for activities and fellowship on Oct. 15. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. A light lunch for $2.50 will be served at 11:30 a.m. The program, offering crafts, games and fun will begin at 12:30 p.m. For transportation or information call the church at 330-882-4818.
  • Seniors, enjoy bingo from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Boyd Esler Springfield Senior Center, 2491 Canfield Rd. Also offered are: Pinochle at noon, bingo is a Tuesday event at 11 a.m. with 3 p.m. cards to follow.   • Hartville AARP Chapter #2433 will meet at the Hartville Church of the Brethren on Wednesday, Oct. 14 at noon for a dinner meeting.  Reservations are required; call 330-497-9259 by noon Monday, Oct. 12.  The program will be "Care Options: Experienced Care Delivered with Love" by Sara Care.
  • The Northwest Senior Center will serve a family style all you can eat Swiss steak dinner on Sat. Oct. 17, from 4-6:30 p.m. Prices are $8 for adults and $4 for children under the age of 10. Ages 4 and under are admitted free. Reservations are required. Call 330-854-6307.
