Akron, Ohio —
Beginning Monday, June 18, I-277/US 224 westbound between I-77 and I-76 (Kenmore Leg) will be closed for four weeks for pavement repairs and resurfacing. The detour will be I-77 north to I-76 west/I-77 north to I-76 west (Kenmore Leg).
The following ramp closures are also in place with the I-277/US224 westbound closure:
- I-77 north to I-277/US 224 westbound. The detour is I-77 north to I-76 west/I-77 north to I-76 west (Kenmore Leg).
- I-77 south to I-277/US 224 westbound. The detour is I-76 west/I-77 north to I-76 west (Kenmore Leg).
- ALSO, US 224 westbound from Kelly Ave. to the I-77 interchange will be reduced to one lane for bridge repairs.
This work is part of $13.2 million project to resurface I-277, I-76 and US 224 from the Kenmore Leg to I-77 and continuing on US 224 to just east of Kelly Ave. along with various bridge work to 18 structures. The entire project is scheduled for completion in late October 2013.
