Our pastor is Brenda Young. Anyone who may be uncomfortable with the thought of a female preacher need only talk with here once to convince themselves that this particular aspect is a non-issue. God calls whomever He will to His service.

If the Coventry Comets were planning on being patient when facing Manchester's P.J. Slider, this was not the day to do so.

Slider, a sophomore pitcher for the Panthers, faced a troubling situation in the first inning and cruised the rest of the way as Manchester defeated the Comets 6-2 on Thursday, April 24.

I have to admit I have never been on a fishing trip like this before. I was guaranteed to catch a wide variety of things.  It almost sounded too good to be true. I had been in contact with the Outer Bank’s Visitors Bureau about arranging a fishing trip in the Manteo area of North Carolina. Their representative, Aaron Tuell, assured me that he had a unique adventure guaranteeing a large catch.

Home from Iraq, Sgt. Glenn Kunkel stopped in to say thank you to the students for sending over school supplies.

The board approved a resolution to direct the Coventry treasurer to rescind the district's request to the Ohio Department of Education and the Auditor of State's Office to be removed from fiscal watch until the district is better able to forecast its funding with more accurate and definite information "with particular reference to the state's school funding intentions or lack thereof."
