Where to watch

Sunday’s pre-race show on ESPN starts 2 p.m. EST, followed by the race at 3.

THE LOWDOWN For the first time in Chase history, Jimmie Johnson goes to Homestead as something other than a title contender. In the first two editions of the Chase, before he went on his five-year championship run, Johnson went to Homestead as the challenger: second to Kurt Busch in 2004 and to Tony Stewart in 2005.
