The Cambridge Brewing Company has announced it will hot its annual Barleywine Festival on Jan. 31 beginning at 5 p.m.

I’ve been to the Barleywine Festival a few times, and I can say that Cambridge’s two barleywines, the Arquebus and Bluderbuss, are my two favorite barleywines brewed int he world.

The festival will feature 12 different versions of the two barleywines, as well as two different versions of the English-style old ale, Bad Knees. The exact details of the different versions have not been disclosed.

To go along with Will Meyer’s beers, Executive Chef David Drew is putting together a special small plate menu to pair with the various barleywines. In addition, the regular menu will also be available.

As with past Barleywine Festivals, there are no tickets, and tables are available on a first come, first served basis. There will be no advanced reservations.

I hope to get there that night and to see some of you there.
