Right-wing leader of Fast and Furious probe admits he has no evidence of White House wrongdoing

When I posted SOME STUFF the other day about the wacky conspiracy theory behind the Republican obsession with Fast and Furious, several Applesauce readers expressed suspicions that President Obama is trying to hide his own involvement in the ill-fated program.

But now Rep. Darrell Issa (above), who’s chairing the Republican investigation,  has CONCEDED that he has no evidence of any White House coverup:

The congressman heading an investigation into a botched gun-trafficking case said on Sunday he had no evidence the White House was involved in a cover-up about the operation or in providing misleading information to Congress.
