On April 18, a teen walked into the sheriff’s office in Green, claiming she was sexually assualted by her mother and her mother’s boyfriend. She presented a flash drive with sexual photos of herself.
Summit County Sheriff Drew Alexander’s staff launched a six-week investigation.
Arrested on June 12 was Virginia Johnson, 36, of 12305 King Church Rd. She was charged with rape, permitting child abuse, sexual battery, disseminating material involving a minor and unlawful restraint.
On April 22, detectives executed search warrants at Johnson’s Lake Township home. Warrants were issued for a search of Stephan Brothers’ Raber Terrace home.
Less than a week later, Brothers, 40, committed suicide.
According to Summit County Sergeant Dave Brown, computers, hard drives and cameras were taken from Johnson and Brothers’ homes.
Johnson is being held in the Summit County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
