The Stark County District Library Foundation will hold a fundraising event this fall, hosted by culinary expert, author and Food Network celebrity, Ted Allen.
“Ted Allen Talks Taste” will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14, at Glenmoor Country Club, from 6 to 11 p.m. The evening will include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, silent and live auctions. It will feature a gourmet dinner prepared by Glenmoor’s Chef Meeker, using recipes from Ted Allen’s cookbook, The Food You Want To Eat: 100 Smart, Simple Recipes. The highlight of the evening will be a talk by food and wine guru, Ted Allen, who will share his love of cooking and an inside look at his life as a Food Network host. Ted will address cooking-related topics, appealing to everyone from beginning cooks to the seasoned gourmet. Cost for the evening is $100 per person.
Emmy Award winner Ted Allen is the host of Food Network’s primetime series Food Detectives and Chopped. Ted has been a judge on every season of Bravo’s Top Chef and Food Network’s Iron Chef America, and is host of the PBS series Uncorked: Wine Made Simple. Ted was the food and wine specialist on the groundbreaking Bravo series, Queer Eye. He is also a contributing editor to Esquire magazine.
Proceeds from “Ted Allen Talks Taste” will benefit Stark County District Library literary programs for children and adults and the Foundation endowment fund. “Ted Allen Talks Taste” is sponsored by About Magazine, Glenmoor Country Club and PPI Graphics.
