Note correct date of Springfield Bicentennial event

The Bicentennial Committee of Springfield Township would like to inform area residents that the recent article that appeared in an Akron daily newspaper, the Bicentennial celebration listed the incorrect date.
The date of the Springfield Bicentennial celebration is Aug. 2. Activities begin at 1:30 p.m. with the Springfield High School Band performing and continue with a parade at 2 p.m. concluding with fireworks over the lake at 9:45 p.m. The committee looks forward to a fun celebration.
