Paramedics transported a Rex Lake Road woman to a local hospital after her boyfriend reportedly ran over her with his car. According to reports, the man pushed the woman down on the ground, then got into his car to prevent her from leaving the home. When the woman tried to open the driver's door, the man pushed her down again, then ran over her with the left front wheel. Police said the woman had bruises on both arms and the left side of her body. The 25-year-old suspect was arrested for domestic violence and booked into the Summit County Jail.
A 45-year-old South Cleveland-Massillon Road man was arrested for drunken driving July 6 after he reportedly crashed his car on Center Road. Police said he was also driving under suspension.
A Will Drive man told police July 7 that someone spray painted the door of his car.
A 27-year-old E. Nimisila Road man was charged with criminal damaging. Police said he drove his car on a cemetery lawn on W. Nimisila Road, causing about $250 in repairs to the landscape.
A 25-year-old North Canton man was charged with a fireworks violation after an officer saw him set off a bottle rocket near a stop sign on Hickory Street.
