Lakemore, Ohio —
Chad S. Pryor, suspended and later fired last year from his job as Lakemore’s village administrator, was indicted by a Summit County Grand Jury on one count of theft in office.
Pryor, 38, turned himself into authorities Dec. 12. He is accused of keeping the money for equipment that was scrapped and using the village credit card to put gas in his personal vehicle. Police said the loss is valued at $1,298.
Pryor was paid $68,000. He was the village’s highest-paid employee.
If convicted, he faces six to 18 months in jail and a possible maximum fine of $5,000.
