The Peninsula Youth Percussion Ensemble in its fifth season under the direction of Jim Huff performed April 19 at Woodridge High School.

This year’s 11-member ensemble includes veterans at Matt Anderson, Anne Belcastro, Ross Jankowski and Casey “Smitty” Smith along with Breanna Brunswick, Muna Hawari, Maxx Myers, Miranda Pelle, Logan Stockton, Tyler Tousley and Coley Wickiser.

Area drummers are invited to participate in this performing musical ensemble and this year eepresent Copley Fairlawn Midddle School, Bolich Middle School, Lake Middle School, Woodridge Intermediate, and middle and high schools and home schooled students.

The ensemble performed a variety of styles from Latin to classical including a drumline styled piece called “Dynamic Pads.” They will showcase trash cans and buckets with their finale, “Talkin’ Trash” by Lamar D. Burkhalter.
