The Lake Building Committee, Inc.(LBCI), a non-profit charitable organization, announced their fundraising schedule for 2009. The LBCI has been actively raising charitable funds to pay for the artificial turf installation at Lake Blue Streak Stadium.

LBCI President Neven Zelich stated, “We have been very fortunate to live in a community that has been so supportive of our project.”

This year will mark the second year the organization was reorganized to raise charitable funds to make improvements to the Lake Athletic Complex. The $850,000 project is being completely funded through charitable donations. No Lake Local School funds have been used for the athletic turf installation.

To date the LBCI has raised more than $630,000 in donations and hope to complete the remaining $220,000 by the fall of 2009.
