Laura of Pembroke is a unique fashion boutique and a classy furniture store with the motto, “dress yourself, dress your home, dream.”

You don’t have to wake up from this dream. The good stuff of life is here for the shopping.
Laura of Pembroke is the stylish work of Veronica Sirpilla, Laura Sirpilla Bosworth and Susan Sirpilla and their staff.

“We started with designer clothing, jewelry, shoes and accessories,” said Laura.

The boutique started in Cleveland in 1987. The Sirpilla women relocated it to 3119 Whipple Ave. NW. 16 years ago. Veronica named the boutique after their neighborhood, Pembroke.
The business has blossomed, said Veronica.

While continuing to offer unique and stylish clothing, shoes and accessories, Laura of Pembroke offers lamps, pillows, sofas, chairs, wall art and items to dress up the home

“We have a range of products and a range of prices,” said Laura. “We have $5 rings and rings up to $450. We have a wide price range on items such as our lamps, chairs and dresses.”

Laura is the interior designer who has decorated homes across the nation and created interior designs for many local businesses.

“Our concept is European,” said Laura, adding today’s interior designs are not squared off and perpendicular to the walls. “We mix with contemporary styles. We have the pulse of fashion in a home.”

The key to interior design is listening to the customer’s needs, said Laura.

“We bring unique, beautiful affordability to the area,” said Veronica.
“Laura will design one room at a time or one lamp at a time,” said Susan. “She is not limited to large full projects.”

“Instead of going to Beechwood, shoppers can consider us first,” said Laura. “We’re more affordable than the perception.”

Laura said she is very proud of the array of merchandise Laura of Pembroke offers.

“I’m proud of the range of looks that come out of this business,” said Laura. “I’m humbled by the following. It’s good to know our clients trust us.”

“And they come back,” added Susan. “They become like family.”

Veronica said customers do become good friends. She said she is delighted when the young girls come into the shop looking for dresses.

“We have dresses for $39.99,” said Veronica. “It’s cute to see their responses.”

Laura of Pembroke features monthly special events, including a trunk show by a local jewelry artisan or teacher appreciation night. Recently they hosted WINOS, women in need of shopping, a fun evening for women who wanted to get out of the house.

“We partner with organizations and other businesses, such as salons, restaurants and wineries, for these special events,” said Susan. “They’ve been very successful.”

Susan spearheaded the company’s launch of their new Web site,  www.lauraofpembroke.com. The site not only defines the many aspects of the business, but offers online shopping too.

“The mix at Laura of Pembroke is good and you don’t find this mix just anywhere,” said Veronica.
