After more than a month of many debates and meetings over the Regional 911 issue, council finally voted collectively on taking the ordinance off the table for good. Without casting a vote on the actual issue, the ordinance itself dies from lack of motion.

On July 17 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. there will be a festival in the village. Pets on Prospect will include a pet parade and games for kids.

The mayor is interested in creating a picnic in the park sometime in the middle of August.
“We need a picnic with all the village employees with their nametags …. so that the village can meet the employees. I was thinking games for the kids … food,” Mayor Ed Tucker announced.

He is working closely with council member Cindy Billings to make this happen around Aug. 20-21. More details will be announced as they become available.

Several of the industrial park lots were revamped to make them more desirable for purchase. This has already paid off with several interested customers coming forward.
