Kara Lamb, daughter of Karen and Allen Lamb, signed a letter of intent to run track for John Carroll University.
Lamb has been a versatile member of the Bulldogs track team over the past four years. She has competed in the long jump, 4 x 100, 4 x 200 and 4 x 400 meter relays, and in the 100 and 200-meter dash.
Along with excelling on the track during meets, she has grown into a leadership role and has set a great example for the other bulldogs.
“If I had more Kara Lambs on my team, with her heart, we would win the Suburban League Championship every year,” said Green track coach Dan Gourley.
Lamb decided to be a Blue Streak not only for the athletics but the type of college John Carroll provides.
“The campus is small and you get a lot of individual attention,” Lamb said.
Looking back, Lamb said what she will miss most about track with the Bulldogs is Coach Gourley’s goofyness around the team.
While competing at JCU, Lamb plans on doing the long jump, triple jump and sprints when competing. In the classroom, she is looking to major in Psychology-Industry Applications.
