A Green man was arrested for downloading images of child pornography Monday.
Thirty-year-old Michael Byrd was charged with pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor, a fourth-degree felony, according to the Summit County Sheriff’s Detective Bureau.
After receiving a tip that images were being downloaded at Byrd’s home, detectives searched his residence, where they discovered that Byrd was in possession of numerous images and videos containing child pornography, said Investigator Bill Holland of the Summit County Sheriff’s Department.
Byrd, who was transported to the Summit County Jail, may face additional charges pending the outcome of the investigation, Holland said.
