The Green Chamber of Commerce and Lake Township Chamber of Commerce invites business owners to Morning Connections, Aug. 20, to discuss the Ohio Healthy Families Act. The event will be held at the Greenview Inn, 4000 Massillon Rd., 7:30 - 9 a.m. The cost is $8 and includes breakfast.

 Tony Fiore, director of labor and human resources policy for the Ohio Chamber, will discuss the proposed legislation to mandate paid sick days for Ohio workers. The Ohio Healthy Families Act would require all employers of 25 or more employees to provide workers with at least seven days of paid sick leave each year. If approved, Ohio would be the only state with a mandated paid sick leave law.
