Summit County, Ohio —
On Feb. 23, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office conducted search warrants at three Akron businesses with the assistance of the Ohio Investigative Unit. Sheriff’s Office officials executed search warrants at the A-1 Market located at 2331 East Avenue, the Kenmore Sunrise Market located at 1303 Kenmore Boulevard, and at the A-1 Wireless and Fashion located at 1020 South Arlington Road. The searches were in connection with an investigation into the sale of counterfeit clothing, shoes, and handbags.
On June 28, five individuals and three businesses were indicted as a result of the investigation.
Indicted individuals and stores are:
Amireh Tawil, age 68 of Green, Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity (F-2), Trademark Counterfeiting (F-4), -Warrant has been issued for his arrest
Maged Ismail, age 47 of Green, Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity (F-2), Trademark Counterfeiting (F-4), -Arrested 7/5/2012
Mashhour Tawil, age 41 of Green, Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity (F-2), Trademark Counterfeiting (F-4), -Warrant has been issued for his arrest
Mohammad Abdel Rahman Ayyd, age 33 of Columbus, Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity (F-2), Trademark Counterfeiting (F-4), -Warrant has been issued for his arrest
Agil Sawalma, age 52 of Barberton, Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity (F-2), Trademark Counterfeiting (F-4), -Arrested 7/5/2012
