  • - Conner Wess had a career-high 25 points to go with four steals and four assists for Coventry in a 78-67 loss to Ravenna. The Comets boast balanced scoring as Bryce Hargrove (12 ppg), Jimmy Holmgren (9.1) and Wess (8.9) lead the way.
    - Manchester wrestling took second at the Manchester Invitational tournament and continued its success at the Brecksville Holiday tournament, where Joey Bowen (106 pounds) and Jacob Hanzel (heavyweight) placed sixth in 32-person brackets. Hanzel also won the heavyweight championship at the J.C. Gorman tournament and Joey Bowen, Bobby Bowen (132 pounds) and Drew Brasial (160 pounds) placed third at the event. For Bobby Bowen, the event yielded his 100th career win.
    - Green boys bowling posted a team score of 3,997 to place fifth at the Black Tiger Invitational at Legend Lanes in Cuyahoga Falls.
    - Senior guard Jake Kitchen drained six 3-pointers and scored a game-high 28 points as Springfield toppled Crestwood 60-53 in a Portage Trail Conference contest.
    - Courtney Basinger narrowly missed a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds for Coventry in the Comets' 42-37 loss to Field.
    - Coventry won 10 weight classes, including a major decision by Zach Lake at 145 pounds, as the Comets wrestled their way to a 50-15 win over Stow.
    - Junior Amanda Smith bowled games of 229 and 191 to lead her team to a win over Coventry.
    - Green boys basketball notched a 41-23 rebounding edge as the Bulldogs doubled up Cloverleaf 54-27 in a Suburban League matchup.
    - Junior forward Alex Klein led all scorers with 21 points as the Manchester girls basketball team tallied its seventh win of the season, 66-41 over Tusky Valley.
    - Springfield girls bowling dropped a 2,329-2,215 decision to unbeaten Portage Trail Conference leader Kent Roosevelt at Bill White's Akron Lanes.
    - Mount Union sophomore guard Evan Keeslar (Green) averaged 7.5 points per game over a four-game span – including a season-high 18 on Dec. 18 – as the Purple Raiders extended their winning streak to seven games with wins over Baldwin Wallace, Adrian, Olivet and Westminster.
    - Kayla Jackson bowled games of 234 and 214 for Coventry as the Comets topped Portage Trail Conference rival Ravenna.
