  • Here's the latest list of closings and cancellations throughout Stark County because of Tuesday's record cold:
    SCHOOLS
    • All Stark County public and parochial schools are closed Tuesday.

    BUILDINGS AND SERVICES
    Canton city trash service has been delayed one day for all customers due to Tuesday's cold temperatures.
    • The Canton City Health Department has closed all clinics scheduled for today, including the Women, Infant and Children (WIC) program and the sexually transmitted infection clinic. The clinics will return to their normal schedules Wednesday.
    Meals on Wheels of Stark and Wayne Counties is closed today. Scheduled meal deliveries will be canceled throughout the Stark and Wayne counties service area. Meal delivery is expected to resume Wednesday.
    • The office of Stark County Recorder Rick Campbell is closed today. The office will reopen Wednesday for regular hours, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • The Carroll County Courthouse and all of its departments are closed today. The courthouse houses the commissioners' offices and offices of other elected county officials, such as the auditor, recorder and treasurer, as well as the Carroll County judicial offices and Board of Elections. The sheriff's department will remain open.
    • All Stark County commissioner-related buildings and offices will be open today. No other county offices had reported planned closings as of Monday afternoon, according to County Administrator Brant Luther.
    Stark County Medical Group will be closed today.
    ATTRACTIONS
    Wm. McKinley Presidential Library & Museum is closed today. Regular hours will resume at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
    Akron Zoo is closed today.
    • The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, the Rock Hall's library and archives are closed today.
    Grand Slam USA at 5656 Dressler Road in Jackson Township was closed Tuesday afternoon because of a frozen sprinkler system.
    SPORTS
    Here is a list of area athletic events that have been postponed due to freezing temperatures. Events will be updated as information becomes available.
    Minerva's JV and varsity boys basketball home games against Carrollton on Tuesday have been rescheduled for Jan. 25 beginning at 6 p.m.
    Minvera's varsity boys and girls home bowling matches against Hoover on Tuesday have been rescheduled for Jan. 29 at 4 p.m. at Minerva Bowl.
    Perry's JV and varsity boys basketball games at McKinley on Tuesday have been postponed. No makeup dates have been set.

    Lake's JV and varsity girls basketball home games against Boardman on Wednesday have been rescheduled for Jan. 20 beginning at 5:30 p.m.
    • Monday's Mount Union men's basketball game at Capital. No makeup date has been set.
    • All Timken athletic events scheduled for Monday and Tuesday. The freshman boys basketball game against Fairless has been rescheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Commons Gym.
    Central Catholic's JV and varsity boys basketball games at Fairless on Tuesday have been rescheduled for Saturday beginning at 6 p.m.
    Central Catholic's bowling matches against Lake on Monday and at Sandy Valley on Tuesday have been postponed. No makeup dates have been set.
    Lake's JV and varsity boys basketball games at Boardman have been rescheduled for Feb. 15 starting at 1:30 p.m.
    Hoover's JV and varsity boys basketball games at GlenOak on Tuesday have been rescheduled for Saturday beginning at 6 p.m.
    MEETINGS
    • The Green Local Schools Board of Education has rescheduled tonight's meetings to Wednesday at the high school, 1474 Boettler Road. The organizational meeting will be at 6 p.m., with the regular meeting at 6:30.
    • Canal Fulton City Council has canceled its meeting for tonight and rescheduled it for 7 p.m. Jan. 14 at City Hall.
    • Canton City Council canceled Monday's meeting and rescheduled it for 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
    • Massillon City Council rescheduled last night's meeting for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
    • Last night’s Alliance City Council meeting, which was canceled due to the weather, has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Jan. 13 in Council Chambers, according to a news release. Council will follow the Jan. 6 meeting agenda.
