  • A bullet struck the headboard of a bed as a 12-year-old boy slept about 11:45 p.m. Monday at the Briarwood Estates complex on Mayfair Road, and one gunman was shot, said Inspector Bill Holland of the Summit County Sheriff's Department.
More than two dozen shots were fired from a fully automatic rifle and a .40-caliber handgun that also damaged three apartments, Holland said.
Police arrested a 21-year-old woman who lives in the apartment complex on a misdemeanor charge of obstructing justice for providing false information to investigators, Holland said in a news release. The Repository does not typically name misdemeanor crime suspects.
Holland said one of the shooting suspects suffered non-life-threatening injuries from gunshot wounds incurred in the incident.
    His name wasn't listed.
The other shooting suspect's vehicle was "a silver or grey Hyundai with significant damage to the front of the driver's side," he said.
Anywhere from 25 to 30 shots had been fired.
Holland asked that anyone with information about the shooting or the car should call detectives at 330-643-2131.
