While county emergency officials were monitoring public utilities during the record-setting cold snap Tuesday, some residents who heat their homes with natural gas had trouble with their supply.
No major power outages were reported.
But Dominion East Ohio received reports from 90 customers complaining of low-pressure in the northwest portion of Jackson Township, said Neil J. Durbin of the gas company, adding that additional reports came in Tuesday morning.
Gas company crews worked through the night and were continuing to work Tuesday to address the issue, "canvassing customers to confirm that they have natural gas service, and restoring service where necessary," he said.
Crews continued to monitor the gas supply and pipeline systems during the "period of extraordinarily high natural gas demand," Durbin said.
He said customers whose service is disrupted should call the company's 24-hour emergency line at 1-877-542-2630.
