Township trustees have declared a snow emergency ahead of a National Weather Service-issued Winter Weather Advisory.
Galen Stoll, president of the three-member township trustee board, issued to announcement prohibiting parking on township streets from 10 a.m. Saturday "or at such time the snowfall reaches 2 inches or any severe ice situation," he said in a news release Friday morning.
The township asks that residents not park on township-maintained streets so that the township salt-and-plow trucks can keep the streets clear for emergency responders, residents and general traffic.
The emergency was scheduled to remain in effect for 48 hours.
