  • Snow can't stop state title game at Tiger Stadium

  • The Stark County area could get three to five inches of snow Friday afternoon, but the forecast isn't stopping the Ohio High School Athletic Association State Football Championships from taking place.
    Youngstown Cardinal Mooney is playing Clarksville Clinton-Massie at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium in a Division IV game.

    The snow is expected to continue into the evening.
    Three to five inches of snow is still expected by 10 p.m. Friday, said Frank Kieltyka, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Cleveland.
    Massillon rolled out its salt trucks Friday and they went out again at 2 p.m. to treat the bridges and main roads. Perry Township and Navarre also had salt trucks and plows ready to go.
