The launch window coverage you can expect for the PS4 and X-Box One

The next generation of console gaming is nearly upon us. The Playstation 4 will be hitting the shelf in just a few days and I'll be here to give you my impressions of the new system. You can also look forward to my thoughts on Killzone: Shadowfall, Knack, Resogun and Contrast. Next week I'll also be talking about the X-Box One. I'll give you my thoughts on the new Kinect as well as my impressions of several games. I'll be looking at Dead Rising 3, Ryse: Son of Rome, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Lego Marvel Super Heroes on the X-Box One platform. It's an exciting time. I'm looking forward to getting past the next two weeks and getting my hands on the systems for myself. I'm looking forward to a time when people are paying more attention to the games, the interface and the experiences rather than the frames per second and polygon counts. Both machines look fantastic but the PS4 and the X-Box One are going to receive hefty day one patches. Some are bigger than others. If anything goes wrong I'm sure you'll hear about it here. I'm hoping for a smooth experience for myself and everyone else right from the start for both the PS4 and the X-Box One.
