  • Three veteran educators have been named principals at Holy Cross Academy.
    Bob Vero will serve as principal at the St. Joan of Arc campus at 120 Bordner Ave. NW in Perry Township. Vero has three decades of teaching and school administration. Prior to St. Joan, he was assistant principal at Hartford Middle School.
    Susan Hug has been named principal of the St. Joseph campus at 120 Columbus Ave. NW. She has 33 years teaching experience  in the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown, including St. Paul School in North Canton and at St. Joseph. She recently was named a member of the Stark County All-County Teaching Team and received the Excellence in Education award for private schools.
    Sandy Fusillo has been named principal of the St. Peter campus at 702 Cleveland Ave. NW.
    Prior to St. Peter’s, Fusillo spent a decade teaching at St. Mary School in Massillon. In 2010, she was nominated for Stark County Teacher of the year and the diocese’s 2011 Golden Apple Award. She also served on the technology committee at St. Peter’s and on the diocesan level.
