A Cambridge District Court judge Wednesday ordered a "complete lockdown" for State Sen. Anthony Galluccio Wednesday after the senator failed a breathalyzer test. The order means Galluccio, who was sentenced last week to 6 months of home confinement except to vote at the State House and go to church, will not be allowed to leave his home.

The only exception will be for Galluccio to get blood alcohol tests.

The assistant district attorney in the case had requested jail time for Galluccio, but the chief probation officer recommended the senator stay at home until a final surrender hearing Jan. 4.
