WHAT IS IT? A 10,675-square-foot building at 1315 Greenfield Ave. SW to provide additional space for Jebco Machine, a shop that does specialty machining.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW? Jebco Machine has been in business 37 years filling the specialty tool and die needs of local manufacturers. The company’s main building is across the street at 1304 Greenfield Ave. SW. Jebco needed more room, so the company bought the lots on the west side of Greenfield Avenue and expanded.
AND ANOTHER THING: Houses used to sit on the lots. Jebco hired Milla Construction Systems from Minerva to handle the construction. Gerald Baxter, one of two brothers who operate Jebco, said the company hopes to be in the new building before the year ends.
