Service Director Warren Price said the city planned to issue a parking ban for Canton streets early Wednesday afternoon.
Enforcement of the ban is done on a “case by case basis,” Price said. “If we have a vehicle that’s in the way and we can’t safely plow, then we might take action to tow that vehicle and involve the police.
“We’d ask for peoples’ cooperation — naturally that helps us keep the streets clear and safe, not only for civilian traffic but also (for police and firefighters).”
