WHAT IS IT? Improvements to the sidewalks on Cleveland Avenue NW in front of Malone University.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN? The work is part of Canton’s ongoing streetscape program. Construction started this week, and Malone officials hope to have work finished before the inauguration of President David A. King later this month. Crews will be working along the east side of Cleveland Avenue NW for a few more weeks.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW? The city and Malone University are working together and sharing the costs to improve the appearance where the campus borders Cleveland Avenue. Malone is paying for new concrete for the sidewalk and curbs. The city is providing decorative lighting, brick pavers, ornamental trees and grates that will go around the trees.
