The city’s newest playground at Nimisilla Park will be dedicated Tuesday afternoon at a ceremony.

The event will be 1:30 p.m. at the park and playground. Nimisilla Park is located on Mahoning Road NE.

The playground equipment is accessible to children with disabilities, but is open to all children. Equipment is designed for specific age groups.

A grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development funded much of the project.

The public is invited to Tuesday’s park dedication. City officials, including Mayor William J. Healy II, Councilman Thomas West, D-2, local schoolchildren and Bill Green, superintendent of the Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and others are expected to attend the event.
