Fuad Farah, guitarist:

FAVORITE BLUES SONG: “Love in Vain” by Robert Johnson.

FAVORITE BLUES ARTIST (LIVING): Eric Clapton was the first blues guitarist I ever heard and my first inspiration to play guitar.

FAVORITE BLUES ARTIST (DECEASED): Muddy Waters, the man who added electricity to the blues.

FAVORITE SONG TO PLAY LIVE: “I Put a Spell On You” by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins (as arranged by Dr. Constantin Farah).

FAVORITE GIG TO DATE: Playing at Blues City Cafe on Beale Street in Memphis.

FAVORITE NONBAND HOBBY:
Debating as part of the Jackson High School speech and debate team.

CAREER PLANS: I plan to study medicine in hopes of becoming a surgeon. I will have to transfer my finger skills from guitar to the medical field!

Jake Friel, vocals and harmonica:

FAVORITE BLUES SONG: “Tiger Man” by Kim Wilson.

FAVORITE BLUES ARTIST (LIVING): For harmonica, it’s a tie between Dennis Gruenling and Kim Wilson. Favorite guitarist is Buddy Guy.

FAVORITE BLUES ARTIST (DECEASED): William Clark is my all-time favorite.

FAVORITE SONG TO PLAY LIVE: “I’ve Got My Mojo Working.” The band tears down on that song!

FAVORITE GIG TO DATE: The second night in Memphis at Blues City Cafe and New Daisy Theatre — we jammed with a bunch of awesome musicians!

FAVORITE NONBAND HOBBY: Whenever the band isn't playing in the summer, I'm usually at a lake or out seeing other bands.

CAREER PLANS: It will take about 6 feet of dirt and a tombstone to get me to stop playing music. That's all I know for now!
