A group of volunteers went on a 1.2-mile walk Saturday from Arrowhead Golf Club to Mullinax Ford in North Canton.
The mostly barefoot volunteers walked to raise awareness about the charity “Until You Have Walked a Mile,” formed earlier this year, which collects and distributes shoes to area social service agencies and religious groups.
The group has provided 400 pairs of shoes to groups like the Domestic Violence Project, Total Living Center and Refuge of Hope. Costi said there is a need for children’s shoes. Donations can be made at Mullinax Ford, 5900 Whipple Ave.
