After approximately 21 years of operation as an outside-entry store at Westfield Belden Village, Talbots will close its doors on Jan. 27.
Part of a long-standing women’s wear chain, the local closing means 11 full- and part-time employees will be looking for work elsewhere.
Talbots bills itself as a leading specialty retailer and direct marketer of women’s apparel, shoes and accessories. As of the end of fiscal 2011, the company operated 517 Talbots brand stores in 46 states and Canada.
