State Rep. Christina M. Hagan (R-Alliance) honored Louisville’s Biery Cheese with a resolution recently after the company won “Best of Class” in the pasteurized process cheeses class at the 2011 United States Champion Cheese Contest.
Biery President Jeff Fairless and Chief Executive Officer Ben Biery accepted the resolution on the floor of the Ohio House of Representatives. They pointed to the company’s product quality as well as its economic and charitable involvement, she said in a news release.
“It is an excellent example of a business growing from generation to generation,” she said.
Four generations of the Biery family have operated the company. In the past three years, its operation has doubled in size and sales and now has more than 400 employees.
