Seven teen rock bands from Stark County will compete in The Repository’s ninth annual Battle of the Bands, at 7 p.m. March 3 at downtown Canton’s Palace Theatre.

• Honest Abe & the Rail Splitters, Lake High School

• Good Hours, Jackson High School

• LessThanThree, Hoover High School

• MessyFace, Jackson High School

• Oh Tear the Veil, Louisville High School

• Orange Rhyme, GlenOak High School

• White Sky Outcast, Hoover High School

An original song from each band can be sampled at www.cantonrep.com/battle_bands.

Advance discount battle tickets, $8 (cash only), are on sale at the Westfield Belden Village mall concierge center and at Horizon Audio at 5480 Whipple Ave. NW in Jackson Township. Also available at both outlets are VIP tickets, $20 (cash only), which include preferred seating, a souvenir battle T-shirt, glow necklace and goodie bag. Tickets will be $10 the day of the show.

The Feb. 24 issue of Ticket will feature an interview with each of the competing bands and new photos.
