A 16-year-old Ohio teen charged with murder involving men who responded to bogus Craigslist job ads believes God will keep his jail time short.

In a letter to his father obtained by The Plain Dealer, Brogan Rafferty writes that he is still worried that many of his family members will be dead by the time he gets out of prison.

Three deaths are under investigation in the alleged plot to lure victims with the phony job ad. Authorities say they also plan to charge 52-year-old Richard Beasley.

In the letter written last month, Rafferty says he is being kept in solitary confinement and he spends his time reading and exercising.

While he doesn’t address the charges against him, Rafferty apologized to his father for putting him “in this position.”
