A judge has set bond at $2 million for a northeast Ohio man suspected in the shooting deaths of his parents, who were found dead at their farmhouse about two weeks ago.

Thirty-two-year-old Rodney Stutzman was arraigned Wednesday in Wayne County, a day after being returned to Ohio from a jail in West Virginia, where he was arrested. Online court records show he was appointed a public defender, but no attorney is listed.

He’s expected to face aggravated murder and burglary charges in the deaths of Mervin and Viola Stutzman of Mount Eaton. A coroner has said Mervin Stutzman was decapitated after the couple were shot in the head.

Wayne County sheriff’s Capt. Doug Hunter says authorities interviewed Rodney Stutzman but are not releasing details of the interviews.
